After getting my Law degree and Diploma in Law at Uni I found myself starting out on my HR career journey more by accident than design! I cut my teeth in HR in a fast paced go-getting privately owned finance house (who would believe one of those even existed in rural Lincs?!) and basically taught myself along the way. It was a steep learning curve but one I ultimately benefitted from. After a few years that company closed down so I joined a Housing Association as their Head of HR. The experience gained in both roles gives me an all rounded invaluable insight into how both sectors work in practice.
I then decided to gain my MSc (Masters) in Human Resource Management to understand the theory behind the practice and it was the final year dissertation subject that convinced me to set up my own HR consultancy business in 2006. The rest as they say is history.
I am an experienced and CIPD qualified HR Consultant who focuses on the commercial and practical application of the employment relationship – ensuring organisations are legally compliant and you are able to manage your staff in the most suitable way possible. Providing a one-stop shop of HR services for SMEs, I am sensitive and responsive to your employment needs.
My professionalism is combined with a ‘down to earth’ honest approach and a sense of humour which helps build strong, sound relationships quickly. I like to find solutions in the interests of employers when they are challenged with a particular employment problem.

I work closely with the CEO / MD / Directors (HR, Ops & FD’s) / Proprietor or Senior Management Teams of micro to small-medium sized employers, providing bespoke advice and appropriate documentation on a one-off project or retained basis.

On a personal level away from work to relax I like to watch films or sport and reading crime thrillers. I try to keep fit to fight the flab and enjoy undertaking personal challenges that are out of my normal comfort zone (Mt. Kilimanjaro, the London Marathon being the biggest so far, the next on the list is the C2C Way of Roses 170 mile cycle ride in 2017) and generally spending time with my wife, young daughter and black lab — all of whom wear me out mentally and physically!!
DAWN – Office Manager & VA/ PA/ Secretary (internally and externally)
Dawn handles administration requirements for our clients (in a VA / PA / Secretarial capacity) and within the business. With her extensive office admin experience she helps gets stuff done in an organised manner! She also makes a good cuppa – at least 5 times a day!
Outside of work Dawn loves her clothes and shoes, cooking and watching programmes TOWIE and Made in Chelsea!
